In addition to meeting our educators, parents and guardians are invited to volunteer on committees and provide input on areas such as academics, safety and social activities. Students thrive when teachers and parents work together.

The School Accountability Committee

Made up of parent and teacher volunteers, Rockrimmon’s School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a link between the school and the community. Though not a policymaking group, the committee oversees the annual school improvement plan and serves as sounding board.

Volunteering

A major component of school success is strong parent involvement. Volunteer opportunities include participation in the classroom, library, technology, Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and SAC. All parent volunteers at RRES need to complete the online application process at ASD20.org and participate in a training session prior to performing volunteer work in any classroom, on field trips, or on Field Day.

Call the school office at 719-234-5200 for additional information on volunteering.

Rockrimmon Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Your PTO is a vital partner in creating a rich educational experience for our children. We encourage every parent to support our school by joining and volunteering through the PTO. Everyone is welcome and there are ways to serve that fit every schedule and interest. Attend a meeting or contact a member of the PTO to find out more.
